Journey to Easter

Week 3

This is the week everything changes.

We’ve walked through Jesus’ life and ministry, witnessed His miracles, and sat under His teachings. Now, we enter into His final days—the heartbreak of Gethsemane, the silence of Saturday, and the joy of an empty tomb.

This is holy ground.

Take your time with each reading. Let the Scriptures speak. Let Jesus’ surrender and victory speak to your own story. And remember, this is not just His journey—it’s ours too.

Easter Reading Plan: Week 3

Day 16: Gethsemane

Pay attention to: Jesus’ honesty with God and the moment of surrender.

Matthew 26:36–46

Devotional Thought: Even Jesus wrestled in the presence of God. Surrender is not weakness—it’s strength fueled by trust. Reflection Question: What hard yes is God asking of you?

Day 17: Betrayed and Arrested

Pay attention to: Jesus’ calm and control in the middle of chaos.

Luke 22:47–54

Devotional Thought: Jesus doesn’t fight back—He fulfills the plan. Even when it looks like everything is falling apart, God is still in control.

Reflection Question: Where do you need to trust God's control over your circumstances?

Day 18: The Crucifixion

Pay attention to: What Jesus says from the cross and how people respond.

Luke 23:32–49

Devotional Thought: Love hung on a cross and forgiveness was spoken in the middle of pain. This wasn’t the end—it was the beginning of redemption.

Reflection Question: How does the cross change the way you see your worth?

Day 19: The Burial

Pay attention to: The silence of Saturday and the seeming finality.

Matthew 27:57–66

Devotional Thought: Sometimes it feels like the story is over. But even in the silence, God is working. Resurrection often begins in stillness.

Reflection Question: Where are you waiting for God to move?

Day 20: The Resurrection

Pay attention to: The reaction of the women and the angel’s announcement.

Matthew 28:1–10

Devotional Thought: He is not here—He has risen. The grave is not the end of the story. Because He lives, hope has the final word.

Reflection Question: How can you live like resurrection is real today?
