Journey to Easter
Week 2
We’re now stepping into the middle stretch of Jesus’ ministry—where His mission becomes clearer, His compassion becomes more personal, and the tension between heaven and earth starts to build.
This week, you’ll encounter stories of healing, mercy, and truth—each one leading us closer to the cross. You don’t need to be perfect or caught up. Just come as you are. One passage, one moment of reflection, one step at a time.

Easter Reading Plan: Week 2
Day 9: Faith Like a Child
Pay attention to: The contrast between pride and humility in approaching God.
Luke 18:9–17
Devotional Thought: God honors humble hearts. He invites us to come like children—curious, trusting, and dependent—not polished or perfect.
Reflection Question: How can you approach God with more childlike trust today?
Day 10: The Triumphal Entry
Pay attention to: The expectations of the crowd and Jesus’ posture as He enters.
Matthew 21:1–11
Devotional Thought: Jesus enters as a King, but not the kind they were expecting. He comes in humility, not power—and still, He’s exactly what we need.
Reflection Question: What expectations might you need to lay down at Jesus’ feet?
Day 11: Righteous Anger
Pay attention to: What stirred Jesus to act in the temple.
Matthew 21:12–17
Devotional Thought: Jesus wasn’t angry for selfish reasons—He was clearing the way for true worship. Sometimes love looks like flipping tables so healing can begin.
Reflection Question: Where does Jesus need to flip some tables in your heart?
Day 12: The Greatest Commandment
Pay attention to: The simplicity and weight of Jesus’ command.
Matthew 22:34–40
Devotional Thought: Everything boils down to this: Love God. Love people. When we love well, we reflect the heart of God more than any rule ever could.
Reflection Question: How can you intentionally love God and others today?
Day 13: A Seed Must Die
Pay attention to: The image of the seed and what Jesus is foreshadowing.
Devotional Thought: Death was not the end of Jesus’ story—it was the beginning of ours. Like a seed buried in soil, some things must die to bring new life.
Reflection Question: What part of your life is God asking you to surrender?
Day 14: Jesus Washes Feet
Pay attention to: The setting, and why Jesus chooses to serve in this way.
John 13:1–17
Devotional Thought: Jesus shows us that true greatness looks like service. Love stoops low. No act of kindness is too small when it’s done with His heart.
Reflection Question: How can you serve someone today, like Jesus would?
Day 15: The Last Supper
Pay attention to: The tone of the meal and what Jesus says about remembering.
Devotional Thought: Jesus prepares a table even in the face of betrayal. This sacred moment is not just a ritual—it’s a reminder that His body was broken so we could be made whole.
Reflection Question: What does communion mean to you today?
